Karl THE Delivery manager

Karl had co-founded one of London’s greatest meetups on a very specific technology approach. He wanted to be a recognised “force for good”, and to be able to use his great knowledge and skills as a consultant in the future.

At the same time, Karl was leading a cross-functional software engineering team managing a large legacy platform that was being replaced, whilst also operating it.

Keeping the team engaged with their mission was a challenge, and being the least experienced Delivery Manager “at the table” was causing his team to not get the management prioritisation that was occasionally required to make the right choices for the organisation.

And Karl struggled to speak in groups - the larger, the more unknown, the more personal risk he was taking, the more vulnerability he experienced. And he froze.
