Xavier THE EXECUTIVE

Xavier was enjoying a rapid career progression once he stepped back from daily engineering and architecting work and focused on leading a product engineering department where stakes were high.

Highly motivated and success-driven, he had recently moved to a VP role in a new company and was expected to be presenting and addressing large groups in auditoriums from a stage, and a spotlight. In addition to all the board presentations.

But…something bad happened to him on stages or in front of dark rooms full of strangers.

He choked.

Together we set-off on the journey to discover more of the pattern, and it’s significance in those moments he could not afford to choke.

With Xavier’s next “high stakes” presentation just 3 weeks away, and him also carrying a significant workload (of course) we went into “rush” mode, trying several different in-step activities as “homework” between our 1-1 sessions.

Delightfully we found a few small practices he could incorporate quickly into his routine to stretch some of his awareness where it needed to be.

Perhaps most importantly, we also discovered and then reconciled a few false thoughts that had been holding back for decades.

Xavier came charging out of his invisible “prison” and continues to make audiences laugh on his route to CTO where he’s clearly destined.

And destiny also gave Xavier and his long-term partner, despite being a bit “older”, a beautiful surprise child along their way. Something they had previously decided was “not for us” - and parenthood has been great for both!
